Global warming taking hold faster than predicted

The arctic ice cap is melting much faster than models predicted, 30 years faster in fact! Now supposed to be nearly free of ice by 2020, not 2050. It is hypothesised that this will contribute significantly to global warming as there will be no more reflection of light energy on the ice; instead there will be more absorption in the land and water.
