Australian town to go completely solar in 2 years

An Australian town is gearing up to become the first completely solar powered town. They are not doing it through solar cells however, they are doing by using the suns energy, channeled by mirrors, to heat rock through which water will be passed and converted into steam which will rise and drive turbines that will generate electricity long ofter the sun goes down each night or on cloudy days. The 10 MW plant is supposed to generate 300 million kw hours of electricity per year, enough to power the whole town.

Way cool.
