BIGGEST NEWS! Internet radio is saved!

At the last moments, the final day of congress before the new royalty rate payments were due (Sunday), "the SoundExchange executive [Jon Simson, executive director] promised -- in front of Congress -- that SoundExchange will not enforce the new royalty rates".

How amazing! What wonderful news!

They will work out new rates, but everyone will remain online until then. It is not a total reprieve, but we have clearly won, as our voice, the voice of the people, has been made clear to congress, and has won us a battle for equal rights and fair practice. Hopefully the 7.5% tax that is applied to satellite radio will eventually be applied to internet radio as well. Very fair and reasonable, hence why it is in use by all other radio sources! You think?!? OMG!

Anyway, we won!

No way! I just don't believe it. It sounds too good to be true.
