Touch virtual 3d

A Japanese (of course!) company has announced that they have developed a system that can allow the user to interact with a 3d environment and feel what they are virtually touching.

The image is produced with a 3d screen that gives different images to the left and right eyes, making the image appear to exist in front of the screen. How this is done without it just looking blurred our out of focus, I don't know.

The "haptic glove" is used to provide physical stimulation to the hand of the user via the computer related to the virtual image with which the user is interacting.

Way cool!
