Ninja warrior

So I was surfing TV late one night. The cable in my bedroom sux cuz it only gets like half the channels my TV room cable gets. Why? Because the cable running to it sux or something, I don't know, it is supposed to get the same but it doesn't. Anyway. I was looking for channels I do get and decided to try the G4TV channel that had something called Ninja Warrior on.

OMG this show is cool. I am totally hooked. I have recorded and watched every episode since I found it. It is a cross between MXC and American Gladiator. It is a Japanese show where 100 contestants are chosen to try to achieve "total victory" (what a great Japenglish phrase, eh?). On a good day only 7 will make it past the first stage. There are four stages. There have been only 2 men (once each) and 1 woman (3 times) to win, out of 2,000 contestants so far.

You can watch a video of one of my favorite contestants, Makoto Nagano on Ninja Warrior. These clips are not all from the same contest, but his best performances on each of the various stages, making it look like he runs through the course, which he does not, and he makes it look easy, which it is not.

A lot of the characters on the show are repeat offenders, so you get some you like and know. Half the fun is watching someone you root for succeed. The other half of the fun, like watching MXC, is seeing people $%&)# themselves up! >;}~
